In the Night Sky Release

“In the Night Sky” has been officially released by Pioneer.  Be sure to see him in person to get your copy.  If you really want one and distance is a concern, drop us an email or IM.  After years of label politics and other repetitive nonsense, he has finally dropped his first full album.  When reached for comment this morning, Pioneer had this to say:

“It feels great.  The response has been outstanding.  Hopefully it leads to bigger and better things.  I'd just like to thank all of my fans for their support over the years.”

Be sure to pick up the album that Entrigue's House called “one of the feel-good albums of the year.”

Another New Song

DJ Pioneer is still working on the album at this point.  The last two months have been kind of funny.  Some days are like 5 days of work.  Sometimes, 2 weeks are equivalent to 1 day of work.  Well, you never know what you're going to get!  He’s hoping to finish it up by New Year's Eve!  We will see.  No rush, right?  His newest song is called “Do the Pioneer.”  If you've seen him dance, you know that he has a very distinct dance style.  Well, this is just a fun song.  That's all we can say about it.

New Song

DJ Pioneer has been finishing up a new song called "All the Way Live."  The beat is cool, and of course we added in some good samples as the hook.  This song should be finished in the next couple of days.  Stop back soon!

New Guestbook / Update

Hey everyone – thanks for sticking with us.  We decided to add a guestbook to the site for some feedback.  We figured not many people would go to the trouble of emailing something to us.  Also, we just created a new rock beat last night and have to say we like the way it came out.  This song is going to be called “Rock the Place.”  Haha wow, we’re so original and creative.  Stay tuned for more.

Family Values Tour

On Friday night, Entrigue, Shoelace, and Pioneer went to the Tweeter Center in Camden, NJ to attend the Family Values Tour!  Deadsy and Bury Your Dead were entertaining opening acts.  Flyleaf played a great set and rocked the place with “I’m So Sick.”  Stone Sour and the Deftones were great as can be expected, and we were all able to meet Stone Sour during the Deftones set.

The members of Stone Sour autographed Come What(ever) May CDs for us.  Pioneer told Corey Taylor that they played one of the greatest shows he had ever seen, and Corey gave him a bewildered look for some reason.  Obviously, Korn headlined the festival, and they were incredible.  Jonathan Davis had a huge microphone stand that he was able to punch, and it would spring down to the floor and back up.  They played all of their hit songs, from their early albums to their newer material.  We all had a great time.

Moment of Clarity

We would like to clear some things up within the E-Unit camp.  Shoelace has confirmed he doesn't rap anymore.  Jaymac stated that he has been inspired to write new songs but hasn't recorded anything as of late.  Entrigue is still working hard on his new album and plans to be in the studio around the end of the month.  To the best of our recollection, this is the longest amount of time E has taken between albums, but believe us it will pay off in the end.  Remember where you heard it first.

Album Specifics

Pioneer said today via phone that his album is about 50% complete.  “I have at least half or possibly more than half of the tracks finished.  I need to record a few more skits and songs, add in some scratching and effects, and smooth everything out.”

As far as possible guest spots on the album, he foresees no collaborations from anyone on the Silver Mic roster at this time, but he is open to possibilities.

New Site (Sort of)

Due to high demand, this site has moved to a new address on a new Yahoo account to make it more accessible.  Also, some nice navigation buttons are being added to make your entire experience more pleasant.  Pioneer would like to thank everyone for their continued support.

Album Progress

Pioneer is still hard at work on the album.  To date, 5 tracks have been recorded for In the Night Sky.  He would like to remind his fans to have patience since recording an album takes some time.  The album is still set for a late 2006 release.

Typical Fan: “Pioneer, where is your album already?”

Pioneer: “It takes time.  You have to find the right beats, manipulate them to your liking, add your scratches, become inspired to write good lyrics, and record the vocals.  It's all sort of a process you know.  I would rather take my time and release something people will like instead of some piece of sh*t album you’ll use as a frisbee or under the short leg of the couch.”

Concert Goes Off Without a Hitch

Our concert at the Capitol went off without a hitch!  Well, not exactly.  There were some trying times for Entrigue, Shoelace, and Pioneer over the years, but this event was probably the lowest of the lows.  It made all of us seriously think about quitting rap for good.  Low turn-out, zero crowd participation, and fights between the acts destroyed what could have been a great event.  Never fear, DJ Pioneer will put this behind him and continue recording his new album due out later this year.  Some new songs are beginning to take form.
